In an era in which Christian churches are diminishing or even closing, in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, exactly the opposite happened.
This coming Sunday, August 13th, 2017, The Heart of Seniors Gathering will be celebrating its First Anniversary of its brand new church.
The inaugural service was held on August 7th, 2016 and the new church has been meeting faithfully each Sunday afternoon at 2 pm.
While it is rare for a new Christian church to be established, it is even more rare that this church is a Christian community just for seniors – totally dedicated to serve seniors only. Since its inception last year, we have seen over 150 new senior faces and over the year, it has built into a steady congregation of 25 regular attenders. We are still growing weekly and we could not be more pleased.
This Sunday, we are celebrating this milestone with a very special service. A special speaker from Regina (Pastor David Harrison), special music and, of course, a huge anniversary cake.
This exciting church is all part of an overall attempt to establish a broad-based ministry for seniors that will be able to address any problems (physical, emotional, spiritual) that seniors might present. The church, The Heart of Seniors Gathering, works very close together with key agencies and organizations for seniors in the City of Prince Albert.
All who receive this press release, are invited to join us for this celebration. Come and have a piece of cake on us.
